Most days I drive through Herndon on my way to Reston.  For those who have not driven through Herndon you have a large number of “day laborers” stationed throughout the area.  Often I wonder how many get jobs each day, how many do not make enough to get a meal that day, and many other thoughts.  Today on my way through I stopped at Dunkin Donuts and picked up a dozen donuts.  I stopped and immediately a large group rushed the car looking for work.  I said not today but here is some food for the morning and God Bless.  It made my day to do this small deed.  I wonder though did it make their day?  or was the event lost in the complex day.

Breath Prayer

The breath prayer is a very short prayer of praise and petition. Those who use it feel that it can become as natural as breathing. Just as breathing goes on naturally in the body, prayer can go on naturally in our being. Thus we can understand the origin of the name more completely when we recall that in Hebrew the word ruach has three meanings: “wind,” “breath,” and “Spirit.”

– Jesus, let me feel your love.
– Show me your way, O Lord.
– Holy one, heal me.
– Alleluia, have mercy, Jesus.
– Holy Wisdom, Guide me.
– Mother/Father (Abba/Amma), let me feel your presence.
